Student Terms & Conditions
General Guidelines
- Classes are conducted in one of three formats:
- Online
- Offline (In-Academy)
- Home Tuition
- Students must pay their fees at the beginning of each billing cycle according to their selected package.
- Students are expected to attend classes on time and follow the instructor's guidance throughout the course.
- Students must maintain regular practice outside class to ensure steady progress.
Class Duration Policy
CrossWall Conservatory offers two lesson durations:
30-Minute Session
- The first 5 minutes are used to review the previous lesson, answer questions, and check practice progress.
- Approximately 20 minutes are dedicated to learning new concepts and practical instruction.
- The final 5 minutes are used to recap the lesson, assign homework, answer questions, and explain practice goals for the week.
45–60 Minute Session
- The standard lesson duration is 45 minutes.
- If the teacher is completing an ongoing concept, exercise, song, or lesson, the class may be extended up to 60 minutes.
- If the planned lesson is successfully completed within 45 minutes, the teacher may conclude the class at that time.
- New topics, songs, or chapters will not be started after the 45-minute mark, as there would not be sufficient time to complete them properly.
- This policy ensures quality instruction and allows teachers to begin their next scheduled class on time.
Online Classes
Platform & Requirements
- All online classes are conducted via Google Meet.
- Students must have:
- A computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone.
- A stable internet connection.
- The instrument being studied available during every lesson.
Class Schedule & Attendance
- Students enrolled in 4, 8, or 12 classes per month must complete all classes within the same month.
- Classes may be rescheduled within the same month with at least 24 hours' notice.
- In emergencies, a minimum of 4 hours' notice is required.
- Classes missed without sufficient notice will be considered completed and cannot be credited.
- If a teacher cancels a lesson, it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time or carried forward to the beginning of the following month if necessary.
Payment & Credits
- Fees must be paid in advance for the selected package (1, 3, 6, or 12 months).
- Students are responsible for paying for the number of lesson credits included in their package each month, regardless of rescheduled classes.
- Examination books, certificates, and other required materials are charged separately.
Class Materials & Homework
- Learning materials and homework will be shared through Google Classroom.
- Students are expected to submit practice or performance videos for teacher review and feedback.
Behaviour & Professional Conduct
- Students must treat teachers with courtesy and respect.
- Students and teachers must not exchange personal contact information.
- All communication should be made through the CrossWall Conservatory administration.
Progress Reports
- Students will receive a progress report summarizing attendance, lesson achievements, practice consistency, and teacher feedback.
Privacy & Media Consent
- Student information is kept confidential.
- Class recordings, photographs, or performance videos may be used for educational or promotional purposes unless consent is withdrawn.
Technical Support
- The CrossWall team will assist students with technical issues relating to online lessons whenever possible. You can contact the team through the respective WhatsApp group. Will response within 24 hours.
Offline Classes (In-Academy)
Class Venue
- All offline lessons are conducted at the CrossWall Conservatory academy.
Class Schedule & Attendance
- Students must attend classes according to their scheduled time.
- Group classes doesn't reschedule
- Private classes will reschedule and requires at least 1 week's notice.
- Missed classes without proper notice will be forfeited.
Payment & Credits
- Monthly fees must be paid before the beginning of each month.
- Missed lessons without proper notice will not be credited or refunded.
Class Materials & Homework
- Printed or digital learning materials will be provided when required.
- If students needs the books and materials it can be available from the academy, it will be charged.
- Students are expected to complete all assigned homework before the next lesson.
Behaviour & Respect
- Students must maintain respectful behaviour toward teachers, staff, and fellow students.
- Damage to academy property due to negligence may result in repair or replacement charges.
Progress Reports
- Progress reports will be shared with students or parents.
Privacy & Media Consent
- Photos and videos taken during academy classes or events may be used for promotional purposes unless the student or parent opts out during enrollment.
Home Tuition Classes
Class Location
- Lessons are conducted at the student's residence.
- Students must have the required instrument and a suitable learning space prepared before each lesson.
Class Schedule & Attendance
- Classes must be attended at the agreed schedule.
- Rescheduling requires 24 hours' notice.
- Missed lessons without proper notice will not be credited.
Payment & Credits
- Fees must be paid in advance according to the selected package (1, 3, 6, or 12 months).
- Missed lessons are non-refundable unless rescheduled according to the attendance policy.
- Once you have made the payment there won’t be any refund. You can book the classes and use all the credits.
- Examination fees & materials are charged separately.
Class Materials & Homework
- Teachers will assign practice exercises and homework.
- Students are expected to complete assignments before the following lesson.
Behaviour & Learning Environment
- Students and family members are expected to treat teachers respectfully.
- The learning environment should be quiet, safe, and free from unnecessary interruptions during the lesson.
Progress Reports
- Students will receive a quarterly progress report outlining strengths, progress, and improvement goals.
Privacy & Media Consent
- Photographs or videos captured during home tuition lessons may be used for promotional purposes only with the student's or guardian's consent.
Communication
- Students or parents should not request teachers' personal contact details.
- All scheduling, concerns, or official communication must be made through the CrossWall Conservatory administration.
General Policies
Examinations
- Students may choose to appear for international examinations such as ABRSM, Trinity College London, or RSL, depending on their course and teacher's recommendation.
- Examination fees, books, recordings, certificates, and courier charges are not included in tuition fees unless specifically stated.
Holidays
- The academy will announce official holidays in advance.
- Lessons affected by academy holidays will be rescheduled where applicable.
- Lessons affected by government and official holidays will not be rescheduled.
Late Arrival
- Students arriving late may lose lesson time, as classes must finish according to the scheduled timetable.
- Teachers are not obligated to extend lessons due to late arrival.
Teacher Changes
- CrossWall Conservatory reserves the right to change teachers when necessary due to scheduling, availability, or operational requirements.
Code of Conduct
- CrossWall Conservatory maintains a respectful, safe, and professional learning environment.
- Any abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour towards staff or fellow students may result in suspension or termination of enrollment without refund.
Agreement
By enrolling at CrossWall Conservatory, students and parents/guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply with these policies may affect enrollment, scheduling, or continuation of lessons.
